I am always in search of a smexy read that features a hot as hell rock star and COME BACK by Candy J Starr definitely delivered.
Asher Savage is trying to make a come back after a hiatus from his rock star days of being in a famous boy band. Now he is grown up, and seeking to revitalize his solo career with a complete makeover. A far cry from his initial resistance to being a famous musician that he initially resented due to his mother’s callous upbringing as she sought to make him famous no matter the cost. Yet, his past is always haunting him, days of excess with women and alcohol a constant reminder to a life he wants to leave behind.
In comes Alice Cain, a woman that has made her name as a photographer of talented musicians. She is totally against what Asher Savage is all about, but then she is given an offer that she cannot refuse in order to work with a musician she has always admired, and she will do whatever it takes, even if it means working with an arrogant bastard like Savage.
As they work together it is initially angst but then turns into everything fun and sexy that you could imagine as Alice begins to uncover who the real Asher Savage is as he begins to let down his walls and reveal himself to her. I could not get enough of their witty banter and smexy moments that were erotic and sexy as hell.
Although I enjoyed this story I was surprised by the ending. I am not the biggest fan of a cliff hanger but I am intrigued enough to COME BACK and see what happens next as their adventure continues. If you’re looking for a read that is quick and sexy then this book is for you.
