Readers are in for a special treat because I acquired this exclusive interview with the villianess RADIOAKTIVA a few weeks ago. RADIOAKTIVA is one of the most deadly villains of the NEFARIOUS NINE. Her touch destroys and kills it’s victims with radioactive poisoning. I had always feared her, despised her, and wished for her early demise. Yet, after meeting with her and listening to her story I can only say that I feel sorry for anyone she has a “score” to settle with because her revenge is the only thing that she now lives for.
RADIOAKTIVA wasn’t always a villian. Years ago she was an intelligent girl that had a bright future ahead of her working for Radioac. She was in love and engaged to the man of her dreams. Life could not have been any better. Little did she know that her life as she knew it would change forever.
Who I have before me is this tall and lithe woman completely covered in a protective suite. She is regal and reserved yet the wild fire of hatred runs through her veins and makes her restless putting me on edge and so I begin.
RR: RADIOAKTIVA can you tell us about your story?
RADIOAKTIVA: I will try to the best of my ability.
RR: Thank you, it is all that I ask of you. So, let’s begin on why you were working for Radioac?
RADIOAKTIVA: Since I was a little girl I always wanted to make the world a better place and so I made it my mission in life to do just that. My father was the president of Radioac which was the leader in medical research and development for over fifty years. Millions of people had benefited from their tireless efforts so It wasn’t even an option for me to anything else but to work for Radioac. I wanted to prove myself to my father and worked relentlessly on several projects until I was selected for the first of several secret projects spear headed by my father.
It was while working with with one of those projects that I met John. He was unbelievably smart and kind and so handsome that my heart would stop beating every time I looked at him. We quickly became inseparable and my father was extremely pleased and allowed us to continue to work on most projects together. Months pass and one night John comes home and is clearly shaken. He has witnessed something and won’t elaborate. He sees that I’m concerned but quickly denies anything but I cannot put it out of my mind. Especially when he makes me promise to not work on project IRI and to stay way from it. This concerned me because it was my father’s pet project. He claimed that the new project that produced cancer saving medicine for third world countries was producing irregular and faulty results?
RR: What did you do?
RADIOAKTIVA: What could I do? At first I could overlook things but as the days passed I knew that I had to do something. I could feel it in my bones just as I knew I had to work for Radiac. So, I went to investigate. I knew that if something was off that my father would tell me because he would not let anything bad happen.
RR: Did you investigate? What did you ask your father?
RADIOACTIVA: I asked him point blank of what was going on.
RR: And……
RADIOACTIVA: And my father claimed that I was lied to. He wanted to know about the information I had and where I had gained it. But he was not stupid and he knew who had talked. He then told me not to worry and that everything was fine and I had stupidly walked away from him comforted by his lie. It was short lived because later that night John came home with the proof of the research that proved that the new cost saving cancer drug created for impoverished countries was indeed causing harmful side effects. I was livid. All the information laid before my eyes and I could only see red. I had convinced myself that I needed to go back to the research clinic and get more information to expose them. I could not allow this to happen.
Unfortunately I was caught and I was brought to my father who became incensed when he discovered my intentions back hands me so hard that I am knocked unconscious. When I awake I am back in my own bed and everything seems very fuzzy. I can’t remember anything. John is lying beside me and all seems alright and I drift off back to sleep. I awaken the next morning by John’s coughing, he is slick with sweat and has a yellowish pallor that is frightening. I try to help him but I am hit with a wave of nausea that knocks me backward and I fall into darkness. I awaken next time by the sounds of violent retching. John is now covered in open wounds and most of his hair has fallen out. He cannot talk, barely breathing. If I didn’t know better I would have believed that he was suffering from radioactive poisoning. I try to get up again and fall back too weak but I need to help John. My love, my life is dying next to me and I cannot help him. I need to help but all I can do is close my eyes.
I awaken and am greeted with silence and in that moment I know that John is no longer alive. I struggle to get up but I realize that I am no longer in my bed and an imposing stranger in a gleaming white lab coat comes in and proceeds to let me know that John and I were poisoned with radiation. I miraculously survived but John quickly perished. I was informed that it was Radioac that did this and that my father had been that ordered the hit. I did not want to believe any of it until this imposing stranger pulls out his Ipad and proceeds to locate a video that proves his accusation. My heart sinks…How? What? Why? My father confesses to me that he wanted to create a super killer drug to weed out poor populations and that John and I were too close to exposing everything. So, we had to be eliminated. The best way to do this is to purposely inject us with the medicine in question and let us die at home and when we are found out he would have these confessions at the ready.
How, could he? My very own father ordered me killed in the most horrible of manners and killed the man I loved. But I survived and my current savior let me know that my body absorbed the radiation administered to me and I was now a vessel of this radiation. I had to be completely covered because everything touched would die of radiation poisoning. I am A killer and I had score to settle…
RR: Then what happened?
RADIOAKTIVA: I then decided to join the NEFARIOUS NINE as a step in a direction to seek revenge on all those who created the monster I have become.
