Reading the final book in the Reawakened series has been bittersweet. I was eager to find our what would happen next in REUNITED but as I reached the last few pages I quickly realized that I didn’t want to leave these beloved characters and this world that Colleen Houck created behind. To say that she generated word magic that pulled at the strings of my heart is an understatement and now I want to re-read the entire series again.
As I delved back into this world I appreciated how the story immediately picks up with Lily waking up at her grandmother’s with a bit of amnesia (and I have to admit that I had a bit of that myself) So, I appreciated how colleen got me all caught up. Dr. Haasan helps Lily with all the details and it is then that she realizes what she needs to do. Awaken the brothers yet again and become the Warset to defeat Seth. Easier said than done especially when Lia possesses the souls of Ashleigh, the resident fairy and Tia the Lioness. It is known that Tia has feelings for Asten but soon Ashleigh develops feelings for Ahmose and with Lily loving Amon it all proves to be a hot mess. Yet, those darling brothers handle everything superbly and it makes me adore them all the more. I wish I could go into details but I don’t want to spoil anything, but believe me you will be astonished.
I have been a long time fan of Colleen Houck and her skill at creating a world that is rich in its mythology and culture. Although I was left a crying mess I was pleased on how things turned out because I didn’t know how things would ultimately end. REUNITED concludes the Reawakened series in style and I highly recommend this adventure series to anyone that has not read it and if you are familiar with the series and are waiting on REUNITED then you will not be disappointed.
