Being a Jay Crownover fan means that you are in for a reading adventure, so you better buckle up and put on that helmet because she is going to take you for one serious ride. Her Saints of Denver series is a spin of from her Marked Men series but I enjoyed these later books so much more. They showcase Jay’s writing chops that have seriously developed and matured into something quite amazing and she doesn’t disappoint with her most recent endeavor RIVETED.

In this newest Crownover romance I finally get to witness Church and Dixie have their story, and it is all kinds of Holy Batman!!! Hot! For several books I have seen this couple dance around their longing, their pent up emotions for one another and to finally have it realized and in such a scorchingly sweet fashion made my toes curl.

The story begins with Church needed to go back home and visit his family, he knows this is going to be hard so he enlists Dixie who is the epitome of sunshine and warmth. He feels that this is a bad decision, that he is not the one for her and that she deserves so much more than he can ever give. Dixie on the other hand knows that he is the one for her and that she just needs to make him see it, but she also knows that it will take work and he is worth every struggle, so into the fire she willingly goes. What transpires between them is an adventure that is full of heart, unexpected danger and mind-blowing sex. AKA the perfect romance read.

What I loved about this story is how we got to see where Church came from and how he considered himself unworthy of love and where that fear stemmed from. Seeing him go back home and being with his family made my heart swell and it gave me hope. As hopeful and sunny as Dixie Carmichael herself. I knew she had a heart of gold and seeing her fight for what she wanted in her quiet and unassuming manner was the icing on the romance cake. Make sure to wear gloves because the sexy time between these two characters is off the charts amazing and their initial scenes is just too wicked for words. Thank goodness Jay knows how wicked words work because she is did a fantastic job with this couple. She also laid the ground work for the next couple that I cannot wait to read about. It will be bittersweet to end this series but I’m looking for more things from this writer and will gladly go wherever reading adventure she takes me on.

RIVETED by Jay Crownover is the fourth book in The Saints of Denver series so if your new to this series you have such an adventure ahead of you and if you are caught up then what are you waiting for. We all need some Church and this book will keep you entertained until the very end. The perfect book candy of a read to take with you anywhere.

From the New York Times bestselling author of the Marked Men books comes the next installment in the Saints of Denver series.

Everyone else in Dixie Carmichael’s life has made falling in love look easy, and now she is ready for her own chance at some of that happily ever after. Which means she’s done pining for the moody, silent former soldier who works with her at the bar that’s become her home away from home. Nope. No more chasing the hot as heck thundercloud of a man and no more waiting for Mr. Right to find her; she’s going hunting for him…even if she knows her heart is stuck on its stupid infatuation with Dash Churchill.

Denver has always been just a pit stop for Church on his way back to rural Mississippi. It was supposed to be simple, uneventful, but nothing could have prepared him for the bubbly, bouncy redhead with doe eyes and endless curves. Now he knows it’s time to get out of Denver, fast. For a man used to living in the shadows, the idea of spending his days in the sun is nothing short of terrifying.

When Dixie and Church find themselves caught up in a homecoming overshadowed with lies and danger, Dixie realizes that while falling in love is easy, loving takes a whole lot more work…especially when Mr. Right thinks he’s all wrong for you.
